We see ourselves as the IT service partner for the financial industry who helps customers become more efficient. At the heart of our offering is continuous IT operation at competitive prices. These are the basics. However, despite all moves to standardisation on the market, we remain convinced that the ability to accommodate individual requirements with fast time-toproduction is one of the key factors customers look at when choosing a provider.

But what else do customers expect from their provider? Transparency on service fulfilment and cost, security and trust. The latter two have gained in importance as the financial crisis has unfolded. We’re seeing that trust and security matter not just in the relationship between a bank and its customers, but also in the relationship between a bank and its providers.

An organisation needs specific capabilities hardwired into its culture to deliver on all these requirements – starting with comprehensive knowledge of the processes in the financial industry, plus a robust track record in establishing and operating complex IT platforms. Yet this alone does not build enough credibility for customers to place their trust in a supplier. It is satisfied customers as references that make the best case.
